Expectations of Membership

We encourage you to read through these expectations thoroughly, and email our Program Assistant at egs@excitecenter.org with any questions.

Please note, we’re currently only accepting Sophomores and above. If you believe you are ready because of special circumstances, please explain in your application, but know we may ask you to wait until your second year. Freshmen (and all years) should join the DGDG Club on DragonLink!

1. Attending Weekly Meetings:
Meetings are held Wednesdays from 5pm to 6pm EST, Week 2 – Week 8. Members are encouraged to miss no more than two meetings per term.

2. Becoming an Incubator:
Members should form an official incubator team (by pitching a project) by the end of their second (2) term of EGS.

4. Membership Status Survey:
All members must complete an attendance survey before the first week of EGS each term. Any members who do not complete this survey will be assumed to be inactive and will be dismissed from EGS. They may re-apply at a later date.

5. Our Discord:
All members are expected to have a Discord account and be a part of the EGS Discord Server, where all communication happens. Upon acceptance, members are sent an invitation to Discord. For more information on Discord, you can check out their website here: https://discord.com

6. Serious About Making Games:
EGS is a place for people who are serious and excited about publishing their games. All members are expected to work towards the goal of pitching and eventually publishing a game during their time at EGS.
