Life at 100.4 leverages multi-user, co-located virtual reality to develop an effective, evidence-based, and immersive educational social experience for patients and caregivers to better understand febrile neutropenia, understand how to quickly access appropriate medical care, and adapt to accessing that care in different settings. The goal of this project is to provide patients and caregivers with information specific to febrile neutropenia while setting the stage for establishing virtual reality as an effective tool for patient education. By surmounting existing challenges that prevent understanding and accessing healthcare, we can ultimately improve health outcomes for patients everywhere, regardless of health literacy and background.
