Still on the Water is an immersive meditative experience developed for virtual reality. Players take on the first-person role of a lone kayaker, navigating a surreal and hallowed space. They are able to discover artifacts left behind by previous travelers and piece together their stories, guided by a curious cave spirit who poses interesting questions.

Still on the Water is a game about humanity: about our material trappings that reflect something much greater than themselves, about our individual shards of the human experience, and about the fascinating and emotional weight carried in the mundane.

Even with the help of magic and weapons, only the quick survive. The world is infinite and procedurally generated, with many handcrafted elements thrown in. When you aren’t busy dungeoneering and exploring, take a step back and help manage your local town. Uncover the secrets of this world, finding treasure and perhaps an unfortunate truth.

It is a parody of various space-shooter arcade games from the 1980s and cartoons from the mid-20th century that feature violence against cats for the purpose of humor. The player controls a space cannon and blasts cartoon cats into asteroids plummeting towards the earth in an effort to save the world from impending doom. The goal is simple: shoot the asteroids to score as many points as possible and don’t die or let the earth be destroyed in the process… and also to have a stupid good time!
